Autopsy's debut LP is a landmark in the Death Metal genre. Released in 1989, it was way ahead of the curve and had found a more steady footing in the realms of Death Metal rather than just being "faster Thrash Metal" like a lot of the other acts around at the time. Although not as prominent as on their albums that were to follow, the Doom element is still at work here giving it that unique Autopsy sound.
